Job Overview
This role is for a Hybrid Proposal/Business Development Specialist working in the Columbus office Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and compile materials for client-facing deliverables including pitches, proposals, and presentations.
- Participate in discussions to define content direction and messaging.
- Research client information and integrate marketing assets into deliverables.
- Draft, edit, proofread, and sometimes lead writing as project coordinator.
- Create project plans for grant proposals and manage deadlines.
- Assist with proposal generation tools and information repositories.
- Support pitch and proposal reporting across the BD&M Department.
- Perform other duties to meet firm goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Marketing, English, or a communication field) and a minimum of 4 years work experience in marketing, writing, and project/production management are required. Law firm and proposal experience is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Strong writing, editing, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with proposal generation systems or desktop publishing is advantageous.
