Job Overview

The Senior Automation Engineering Manager is essential for creating high-performance processes and facilities. As a Senior Lead, you will oversee automation, instrumentation, and controls projects, lead multi-disciplinary teams, and manage project discipline budgets from design through execution.

Core Activities

  • Collaborate with Project Managers on proposal development, planning, and scheduling.
  • Identify and resolve complex, non-compliant conditions during site surveys.
  • Develop construction drawing packages and write detailed specifications.
  • Provide advanced support for construction activities, including RFI responses and submittal reviews.
  • Mentor and lead design and engineering staff through all project phases.
  • Conduct technical quality checks and system design programming.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and 15+ years of relevant experience in a design firm environment are required. Preferred qualifications include a Professional Engineer (PE) license, ISA Certified Automation Professional (CAP), and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and other discipline-specific software.
